#Design process: Reversible minishirt

Working on my first baby clothes wasn´t so easy. To follow the babies´ specieal needs, to keep the design simple, to find the right fabric and to make patterns that work for babies and mums as well(when dressing the baby), it all took an effort and time, lot of time. Especially when I share it with a little human being.

#For honey: Reversible baby shirt and collar

When I was a baby, my mom (well, all moms in those days) used to dress me up in roomy cotton shirts with opening at the back. I´m afraid, today poplin shirts are not as popular as they used to be.

I think poplin is great fabric for babies. It´s airy and feels cooler than jersey in summer. Also it pills less than knitted fabrics. The baby won´t have those little fiber bobbles around the neck when sweating. In winter, poplin shirt looks cozy with a little cardigan over it.

I designed the reversible shirt to keep its´ traditional values in a modern design. And I wished for a simple functional product made of the finest fabrics.

LITTLE BRIDESMAID

Since my daughter was born, an another dream came true. Always wanted to design for little ones, there was just one problem before. Baby clothes require special  needs what I could not setisfy before I wasn´t a mum. Now I´m every day with our daughter, I see what works and what doesn´t which helps me to do my best while thinking about the designs.
